Larmenier Catholic School - St Leonards, part of Catholic Education Tasmania, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our dynamic team in the role of a Part-Time Teacher: Primary - Technologies and Farm Day: Kitchen. This is an ongoing position that offers an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students.

We provide a Catholic co-educational primary education for children from Kindergarten to Year Six guiding all students in their spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development.

Our focus is on providing children with a quality education in an inclusive Christian environment. We offer a learning environment where equity and justice ensure the provision of an exceptional education for the whole child. Larmenier was established in the tradition of Victoire Larmenier, founder of the Sisters of Nazareth. Larmenier Catholic School is unique in the Launceston area in that it operates a small farm and sustainable gardening program in which students, staff and parents are partners in caring for the animals and the gardens.

Technologies and Farm Day: Kitchen Garden

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons in the areas of Technologies and Farm Day: Kitchen. Your primary focus will be to foster a love for learning and encourage students to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities and practical experiences.

 Applicants will:

  • Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
  • Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching
  • Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
  • Have appropriate graduate and/or post graduate qualifications.
  • Be a registered Teacher in Tasmania or be able to gain registration prior to the commencement of the position.
