St Joseph’s Catholic School Rosebery

St Joseph's is a co-educational Catholic Primary School situated in the picturesque mining town of Rosebery, in the heart of Tasmania's rugged West Coast. As one of two Catholic schools on the West Coast, St Joseph's serves as a strong Catholic presence in the West Coast Parish, catering to children from Zeehan, Rosebery and Tullah. St. Joseph's has an enrolment of around 60 students.

The school is seeking applications from suitably qualified, innovative and enthusiastic teachers who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.

 Applicants will:

  • Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
  • Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching
  • Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
  • Have appropriate graduate and/or post graduate qualifications.
  • Be a registered Teacher in Tasmania or be able to gain registration prior to the commencement of the position.

St Joseph’s Catholic School, Rosebery offer a great supporting package including:

  • Removal cost support of $1500 each way
  • Lodging in CET properties at a rate of $10 per week. Successful applicants to pay a $1,000 bond.
  • Subsidised rent up to $300 per week for private properties. Successful applicants pay a minimum of $10 per week in rent.
  • Financial support for electricity costs in CET properties.

Catholic Education Tasmania and St Joseph’s Catholic School are committed to supporting the rights of children and young people and providing a safe and supportive environment for them. The successful candidate will require satisfactory child safety checks and registrations.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
