Stella Maris Catholic Primary School is situated at 24 - 28 Futuna Avenue, Burnie on the Northwest Coast of Tasmania. The school site overlooks Bass Strait and is approximately 2 km from the city centre and is close to hospitals, TAFE and Marist Regional College.

Stella Maris Catholic Primary School is a co-educational Catholic School situated in Burnie, catering for 431 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our community in an ongoing capacity.

Teacher Assistant
Part Time – Ongoing
23.18 hours per week

The school is seeking applications from enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidates.

 The Teacher Assistant will be required to:

  • Participate in the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of student learning and programs.
  • Support students with challenging behaviours in accordance with organisational policy and guidelines.
  • Provide support to the teachers in the delivery of educational programs to students
  • Certificate II in Education Support and/or equivalent experience
  • Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania)
  • Demonstrated genuine commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education

Salary will be in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
