Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Devonport, is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our vibrant community as a Limited Tenure Teacher Assistant - Kinder. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of our youngest learners.

As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive. You will work alongside our exceptional teaching team, supporting the implementation of engaging learning activities and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and joyful atmosphere for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate educational experiences that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Provide individual attention and support to students, encouraging their curiosity and love for learning.
• Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment, promoting Catholic values and fostering a sense of community.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement effective classroom management strategies and adapt activities to meet diverse needs.
• Contribute to the preparation of instructional materials and the organization of the learning space.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their holistic development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, creativity, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
• A positive attitude and a team-oriented approach.
• Experience in early childhood education or a related field (desirable but not essential).

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
