MacKillop College, a Catholic Secondary College on Hobart’s Eastern Shore, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive community, commencing in first term, 2026.

Full-Time, Ongoing

Graduate teachers or those eligible for a Limited Authority to Teach (LAT) are encouraged to apply for this exciting teaching role. MacKillop College has an innovative Graduate Teacher Program to support such applicants.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons aligned with the Tasmanian Curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
  • Use contemporary teaching practices, including explicit instruction and digital tools.
  • Provide timely feedback and maintain strong communication with students and parents.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and co-curricular programs.
  • Champion student wellbeing and uphold the College’s commitment to child safety.

You will be able to exhibit a wide range of exemplary teaching practices, which include:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
