St Patrick’s Catholic School is located on the Northwest Coast of Tasmania in the municipality of Latrobe, 10 minutes from Devonport. St Patrick’s currently supports 200 students from Kinder to Year 6.

At St Patrick’s, we promote a culture of care and respect, where our students are encouraged to reflect on how they can make a positive impact on the world around them.

We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified, innovative and enthusiastic teachers who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education for the following positions:

Teacher – Primary (Year 1)

Limited Tenure 0.2 FTE

Commencing 2 February 2026 – 18 December 2026

 

Teacher – Primary (Health & Physical Education)

Ongoing, 0.4 FTE

Commencing 2 February 2026

About the Roles

Our teachers are responsible for providing spiritual, academic and well-being support for all students and adhering to Catholic principles, by personal example, integrity and behaviour.

You will work collaboratively with other staff contributing to a school culture grounded in Catholic values and the mission of Catholic Education Tasmania.

This is an exciting opportunity for proactive, skilled individuals who enjoy a varied workload and thrive in a supportive, community-focused environment.

About you

As a qualified Teacher you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
  • Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching
  • Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
  • Have appropriate graduate and/or post graduate qualifications.
  • Be a registered Teacher in Tasmania or be able to gain registration prior to the commencement of the position.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
