The school is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education for the following position to be based at Bellerive.

Utility Officer

About the Role:

The Utility Officer undertakes general and routine grounds and/or maintenance work to ensure a clean, orderly, safe and instructionally supportive physical school environment that enables enhanced student learning outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain gardens and grounds including mowing and brush cutting.
  • Mark lines on school ovals/grounds for sporting events.
  • Set up furniture and equipment for sporting and special events at the School.
  • Prioritise and complete allocated work plan in accordance with school requirements.
  • Maintain hand and power tools and equipment to ensure they are safe.
  • Complete daily security routines (unlocking and locking buildings) and safety inspections of school grounds and equipment.

 

To be eligible applicants require:

  • Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania)
  • Accreditation A: Accreditation to work in a Catholic school, or willingness to work towards
  • Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check (NPCHC)
  • Certificate 1 in relevant field or equivalent
  • Current Tasmanian driver licence.
  • Hold or willing to obtain Medium Rigid Bus Licence

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
