About us

BlendED National is a new and exciting initiative of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), providing flexible, inclusive education for young people across the country who are unable to access traditional schooling.

Delivered through a teacher‑led, dual‑engagement model by a multidisciplinary team, BlendED National supports young people through trauma‑informed, relationship‑based learning that prioritises safety, connection, and individualised support. The program is designed to meet the needs of young people experiencing complex barriers to education, and is grounded in EREA’s commitment to educational equity and radical inclusion.

All roles at BlendED National contribute to the delivery of a structured, teacher‑led secondary education program within a registered Catholic school, supporting both learning and wellbeing outcomes for young people.

Our Young People

Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, environmental, psychological, health and legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.

We recognise that each young person’s journey is unique. Our staff are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and empowering learning environment where young people can develop confidence, reconnect with education, and work towards their goals.

Our Team

BlendED National operates as a registered Catholic school in Hobart, Tasmania, supported by a dedicated local team. Led by a Principal and Program Directors, qualified Teachers and Youth Workers work collaboratively to deliver a structured, teacher‑led secondary program, integrating curriculum‑aligned learning with pastoral care and wellbeing support for young people across the state.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Secondary Curriculum & TASC Coordinator to lead and coordinate the Years 11-12 curriculum within our registered Catholic school in Tasmania. The role ensures a structured, teacher‑led senior secondary program that is aligned with Tasmanian policy and fully compliant with TASC requirements. Working collaboratively with teachers and school leadership, the Coordinator supports curriculum implementation, accreditation processes, and continuity of learning within BlendED National’s dual‑engagement model.

Employment:  Full‑time fixed‑term appointment (3 years) with an ongoing substantive Teacher position
Commencement: ASAP, 2026   
Salary:  This position is classified under the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024. Remuneration is based on the Teachers Salary Schedule at Levels 1–13, plus an additional position allowance of $4,198.00, commensurate with the successful applicant’s experience and qualifications.

You will need

  • Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Education
  • Demonstrated experience in senior secondary curriculum development and delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • TASC requirements
    • TCE standards
    • Tasmanian senior secondary frameworks
  • Experience supporting disengaged, diverse, or vulnerable learners
  • Understanding of trauma‑informed and relationship‑based education
  • Hold a current Teacher Registration in Tasmania
  • Hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People Check or have the ability to obtain
  • A National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months)
  • Hold appropriate Australian Work Rights
  • Valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive school vehicles when required
