About the role
Catholic Education Tasmania is seeking a skilled M365 Specialist to join our ICT Infrastructure team. Based at the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office in New Town, this role is central to shaping how information is created, stored, secured, and utilised across our schools and offices.
You’ll lead hands‑on configuration, optimisation, and support of solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem—driving collaboration, digital workflow maturity, and strong information governance.
Key Responsibilities
M365 configuration — Build, maintain, and optimise SharePoint Online, Teams, metadata structures, permissions, and governance.
Solution development — Create scalable SharePoint solutions, Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and enterprise-ready digital processes.
Information architecture — Implement structured metadata, remediate existing repositories, and uplift organisational information maturity.
Compliance & lifecycle — Apply retention, sensitivity, and lifecycle policies using Microsoft Purview.
Automation & provisioning — Develop templates, automated provisioning, and repeatable patterns for consistency and efficiency.
Stakeholder engagement — Translate business needs into practical M365 solutions and collaborate across ICT, School Services, Data & Reporting, and project teams.
What You Bring
Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and structured information architecture.
Proficiency in Power Apps and Power Automate.
Strong understanding of information governance, lifecycle management, and digital workflows.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Ability to uphold and support Catholic ethos and organisational values.
Required:
National Police Criminal History Check
Working with Vulnerable People Registration
Accreditation A (or willingness to obtain)
Current driver’s licence
Desirable:
Tertiary ICT qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Purview
Automated provisioning and template development
Power BI familiarity
Experience in education environments
Relevant Microsoft 365 certifications
