Catholic Education Tasmania is seeking an experienced and strategic finance leader to drive excellence and help shape our financial future.  This pivotal leadership role is responsible for providing strategic direction, expert financial advice and operational oversight to support the effective stewardship of resources, organisational sustainability and the continued success of Catholic schools across Tasmania.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director: Corporate Services, you will lead initiatives that enhance financial performance, governance, compliance and service delivery while supporting the sustainability and growth of Catholic education throughout Tasmania.

What You Will Do

• Provide strategic leadership and stewardship of the financial, accounting and business services functions across Catholic Education Tasmania.
• Develop and implement long-term financial strategies and sustainable funding models that support organisational growth, viability and mission.
• Oversee the governance, allocation, monitoring and acquittal of government and non-government funding, ensuring compliance with all funding agreements, legislative obligations and regulatory requirements
• Direct and continuously improve system-wide budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and audit processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, transparency and accountability across all entities.
• Establish and maintain contemporary financial management frameworks, policies, procedures and internal controls that reflect best practice, mitigate risk and ensure effective stewardship of resources.
