Head of Information Communication Technology

 Full Time – 5 Year Contract

Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) supports 39 schools and colleges, more than 17,000 students and 4,000 staff across Tasmania.  CET are seeking an accomplished ICT leader to provide strategic leadership and expert advice on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of information and communication technology services.

About the Role

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director: System, the Head of Information Communication Technology (Head of ICT) will provide strategic leadership across the ICT portfolio, including:

  • Lead the development and delivery of CET's ICT strategy, roadmap and investment priorities.
  • Lead the effective management and integration of complex information systems and ICT projects.
  • Manage the provision of ICT services and projects to provide a seamless, high-performing ICT service to all users that meets relevant service expectations.
  • Provide high-quality, specialist advice on business process transformation, ICT solutions, operations, and governance.
  • Provide high-level advice to the CET Leadership Team to ensure that ICT delivers efficient and practical support to CET.
  • Act as the CET Data Breach Officer, ensuring that effective policies and practices are in place to safeguard data held by CET.

About You

As the Head of ICT, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated extensive experience in strategic and operational ICT leadership within complex multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in the on-time and within budget, delivery of large-scale ICT projects and strategies.
  • The ability to effectively lead people through transformational change.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and time management skills with the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team of multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of competing priorities.
  • A desire and capacity to exercise highly collaborative leadership in an education environment that encourages the input and agency of school and system leaders.
