St James Catholic College is located in the picturesque township of Cygnet and caters for the needs of approximately 300 students. We are a Kindergarten to Year 10 co-educational College, proud of our long-standing and well-respected relationship with the community.

We are currently seeking applications from innovative and enthusiastic Utility Officers who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education for the following position:
Utility/Maintenance Officer
Ongoing, 0.4 FTE
Commencing 19 February 2026
About the Role
Our Utility/Maintenance Officer is accountable for undertaking general and routine grounds and/or maintenance work to ensure a clean, orderly, safe and instructionally supportive physical school environment that enables enhanced student learning outcomes.
You will work collaboratively with other staff contributing to a school culture grounded in Catholic values and the mission of Catholic Education Tasmania.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
